EXERCISING IS WHAT YOUR FUTURE SELF WILL THANK YOU FOR
EXERCISING…
Improves Heart Health
Generates Weight Loss + Maintenance
Boost Brain Functionality
Recovering before/after exercise matters
Soreness of the muscles can last longer
Chances of injury increase
Harder time withstanding strain
THE PROBLEM
Those who consistently exercise may not recover appropriately and risk injury/performance set backs. Even finding consistency in a recovery routine can prove difficult.
THE QUESTION
HOW CAN WE WEAVE EXERCISE RECOVERY INTO GEN ZERS DAILY ROUTINE & WORKOUTS?
THE OPPORTUNITY
Along with the lack of time put towards recovery as well as consistency with it, storing equipment was an issue as well
Initial Idea
Foam roller than can fit equipment inside
A central compartment would slide out
Resistance band + massage ball
Development
Handle for the central compartment could act as a detachable slice of the foam roller
The gear it holds can consist of an ab roller, massage stick, and jump rope that can all be assembled with interchangeable handles
To minimize bulk, I proceeded to design around a hollow foam roller
How could it store a massage ball?
Have a band that wraps around it?
Have a compartment with a sliding door?
How could it store resistance bands?
Compartments with caps?
How could it store a massage stick?
Grooves on massage stick that slide on a track?
